Upon further diagnosis, DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) B1475-96 may be stored in the Restraints Control Module (RCM). CAUSE: This may be caused by a RCM software error. ACTION: Should a customer express this concern, follow the Diagnostic Procedure below. DESCRIPTION SRO TIME (HOURS) CONDITION CODE CAUSAL PART Read and clear fault codes (followed by Configure existing Restraints Control Module [RCM]) 12.90.16.01 0.1 04 LR072723 Configure existing Restraints Control Module (RCM) 86.95.15 0.2 04 LR072723 Read and clear fault codes (no further action) 12.90.16 0.2 04 LR072723 NOTE: Normal Warranty procedures apply. DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE: CAUTIONS: A Jaguar Land Rover-approved battery power supply must be connected to the vehicle startup battery. All ignition ON/OFF requests MUST be performed; failure to do these steps may cause damage to vehicle control modules. 1 2 Connect the Jaguar Land Rover-approved battery power supply to the vehicle startup battery. NOTE: The Jaguar Land Rover-approved diagnostic equipment must be loaded with SDD155.04 Software Management Pack v309 (or later). https://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topix/content/document/view?id=952409 3/5 2/6/2019 LTB01262NAS1 - 'Check Pedestrian System' Message Displayed On The Instrument Cluster | TOPIx Connect the Jaguar Land Rover-approved diagnostic equipment to the vehicle and begin a new session. 3 Follow all on-screen instructions. 4 Read and clear all DTC. 5 Switch the vehicle ignition OFF. 6 Switch the vehicle ignition ON. 7 Follow all on-screen instructions. 8 Read all DTC. If DTC B1475-96 is stored in the Restraints Control Module (RCM), do not continue with this Technical Bulletin. Continue diagnosis using TOPIx Workshop Manual section 501-20B: Supplementary Restraint System - Diagnosis and Testing - Airbag and Seatbelt Pretensioner Supplemental Restraint System.)
