GTDi Camshaft Bearing Wear
Customer Voice:
– The vehicle will not start.
– The Check Engine Light is on, there is noise from the engine.
Technical Description:
– Wear is noted on the camshaft bearing surfaces.
Status:
– We are working to better understand all contributing factors to this damage.
– Ensure proper maintenance has been carried out on any vehicle exhibiting this
condition. Inspect the oil and oil filter for contamination to assist in determining
correct level repair.
– Raise an EPQR which includes pictures of the damage, a picture of an oil sample,
and maintenance records for the vehicles.
