Technical Description:
– Degradation of the primary catalytic converter with DTC P0420-00 stored in the PCM.

Diagnose and repair any related DTC stored.
Inspect for and repair any leaks in the exhaust system.
Inspect for and repair any intake system unmetered air leaks.
Inspect for and repair any causes of misfire in the ignition system.
Carry out oil consumption checks.
– Do not replace other components (i.e. secondary catalytic converter, oxygen sensors,
turbocharger, etc.) if they pass individual testing.
– SSM74404 published relating to this condition.
