In the event that the above customer concern is reported and Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P227900 Intake air system leak is recorded in the
engine control module, then there are two known issues that should be considered as part of your investigation and fault rectification.

1. Split vacuum hose onto the waste-gate (see Figure 1), confirmed with visual inspection or smoke test. Replace the failed pipe to resolve the
issue
2. Failed waste-gate diaphragm, the use of a Mityvac is recommended to confirm the presence of an internal leak in the turbocharger waste-gate
or smoke test. Once confirmed the turbo charger assembly must be replaced
