Reduced engine power and one or more of the following DTC's may be
present DTC’s P0172, P0299, P0101, P0506, P1101.
Charge air cooler outlet hose may be disconnected from throttle body.
Correction
Confirm the connection of the charge air cooler outlet pipe at the throttle body. If the charge
air outlet tube is not disconnected from the throttle body proceed with published SI
diagnostics for the failed DTC's.
If the tube is disconnected from the throttle body, inspect the charge air cooler tube and
throttle body for damage. In the rare case that either are damaged, replace the damaged
part.
The throttle body and mass airflow (MAF) sensor associated with the listed codes should
only be replaced if they are damaged or found to be the cause of the code.
If the charge air cooler outlet tube has become disconnected from the throttle, inspect the
tube end for contact damage from blowing off. If damage is found, replace the tube
assembly. Use the vehicle identification number (VIN), SI, and the GM Electronic Parts
Catalog to determine the correct part to order. If the charge air cooler tube is not
damaged and a SPAC case is already pending for a replacement tube assembly, Confirm the
SPAC status by using your Parts Workbench in Global Connect to see if the part has been
shipped to you. If the part has shipped, you do not need to order the retainer kit from WPC.
If the tube is disconnected and a SPAC case hasn't shipped, contact the Warranty Parts
Center using the attached request form to order a charge air cooler outlet tube retainer kit.
This retainer kit includes a spring, 2 retainers and installation instructions. Complete the
WPC form below if needed.
