All Isuzu Vehicles
INFORMATION
California law requires that a Proof of Correction Certificate (“POC Certificate”) be
completed for every motor vehicle Emissions Campaign/Recall (if any) that is applicable
to a motor vehicle in order for that vehicle to be registered in the State of California.
California requires the POC Certificate to be pink in color and to be submitted in
person at a California Department of Motor Vehicles (“DMV”). The California DMV will
not accept POC Certificates that are sent by mail, email or other form of electronic
transmission.
All Isuzu Vehicles Require a Proof of Correction Certificate
Even if an Isuzu vehicle currently is not registered, or even located, in California, an
owner could seek to register it in California in the future. Therefore, we are requiring that
a POC Certificate be provided to every customer who has an Emissions
Campaign/Recall performed on their Isuzu vehicle.
If Your Dealership did Not Perform the Emissions Campaign/Recall
Your dealership may provide a customer with a POC Certificate if you are able to verify
that the Emissions Campaign/Recall has been properly performed (example: verifying
an updated ECM calibration).
Completing the Proof of Correction Certificate
If you have access to a color printer, print the color POC Certificate. Using a felt tip pen,
fill out all the information properly and sign; then cut the Certificate out and provide it to
the customer.
If you only have access to a black and white printer, obtain pink (including Salmon)
printer paper, print the black and white certificate on the pink paper, fill out all the
information properly, and sign; then cut the Certificate out and provide it to the
customer.
