Service Information Offboard Diagnostic Information System Service (ODIS Service) Number: VOS-19-24 Subject: Date: Sept. 4, 2019 Software Version Update, Enhancements and Fixes Supersedes VOS-19-22 due to new diagnostic content version. The following ODIS Service software versions are available for download. Current ODIS Service Software Versions Application: V5.1.6 Diagnostic Content: V2.39.8 Key Fixes/Enhancements for Diagnostic Content: V2.39.8: 1. CA Atlas 2018 – 2019 DTC B156613 test Z36_X_91_1_1013_11_LRH_00000 replaces switches E440 and E441 when the concern is the G428 - Heated steering wheel sender and steering wheel warn-up wiring circuit. 2. 7L - Touareg 2003 – 2010, CATA 3.0 L TDI-CR 165kW Tuning detection test SYS_X_X_1_0711_X_SERVICE42_GEWAEHRLEISTUNG_00011 to check whether the engine control module is in series production status is not available in Guided Functions, GFF ECM Functions or Special Functions. 3. AU - Golf 2013 – 2019 DTC B200000 - Control module faulty J234_X_1_0412_11_Steuergeraet_ersetzen_00011 instructs to replace airbag control module. After the replacement, the next test step states test will only be run if there is a customer complaint. Test steps seem out of order and inconsistent. 4. BW - Tiguan 2018 – 2019 J285 - instrument cluster DTC B103E1B: fuel gauge sensor 1 resistance too high G_X_1_0212_11_00011 states to remove the 3-pin plug from the G - Fuel Level Sensor and induce a short circuit in contacts 1, 2, & 3. Service Information The fuel delivery unit connector is not a 3 pin connector and the G - Fuel Level Sensor T6 are pins 1, 3 and 5. 5. 3H - Arteon 2018 – 2019 J285 - instrument cluster DTC B103E1B: fuel gauge sensor 1 resistance too high G_X_1_0212_11_00011 states to remove the 3-pin plug from the G - Fuel Level Sensor and induce a short circuit in contacts 1, 2, & 3. There is no 3 pin connector, the G - Fuel Level Sensor is T6cb. Vehicle is a 4motion. 6. BU - Jetta 2018 – 2019 DTC P044400: EVAP System Purge Control Valve "A" Circuit Open N80_X_1_0516_11_X_X_OBD1_XX_FSB_OBD1_N80_00011 test procedure calls out adapter cable VAS 5256 but the correct adapter cable is VAS 5571. The VAS5571 2 pin connector fits, the pins and connector are smaller compared to the VAS5256. 7. AJ - Jetta SportWagen 2010 – 2014, CJAA 2.0 L TDI CR / 103 kW DTC P2270: O2 Sensor Signal Stuck Lean Bank 1 Sensor 2: G130_5K_23CJAA_1_0609_11_00011 checks voltage from the ECM at the Oxygen Sensor -G130- connector pin 6 and 2 and specifies a target value OK 0.4 ... 0.5 V. The actual measured voltage at the Oxygen Sensor -G130- connector pin 6 and 2 is approximately 1.9 v and incorrectly points to the ECM as the source of the concern. 8. 5K - Golf 2010 – 2014 DTC U102F: Radiator identification sensor No Communication is not linked to a function test in current test plans. Service Information 9. 7P - Touareg 2010 – 2017, CNRB 3.0 L TDI-CR / 176kW DTC P226D00: Particulate Filter Deteriorated/Missing G784_X_1_0212_11_TDI01_X_Partikelsensor_pruefen_00011 ends abruptly and does not complete the system diagnosis. 10. A3 - Passat/New Midsize Sedan 2011 – 2017 DTC B122B01 Central locking system motors electric fault and B122D29: Lock unit for central locking implausible signal VX22_3C_57____1_0909_11_ASAM_00011 malfunction. Test does not isolate the problem to the faulty Passenger's Door Locking Lock Unit -VX22- but suggests to check and replace control module -J387- . 11. General translation errors.
