Solution K50350118 Wednesday, December 4, 2019 10:04:29 PM CET ** SOLUTION ** Title Mack Chassis - Discharge Recirculation Valve (DRV) - FSB 258-029 , Engine Turbocharger Compressor Bypass Valve Deletion Kit, Installation Mack Models Mack Model LEU , MRU - TerraPro , CHU - Pinnacle, Axle back , CXU - Pinnacle, Axle front , G U - Granite Emission Standard Emission Standard US10 Engine family Engine family 11L Engine , 13L Engine , 16L Engine ** SOLUTION ** Cause Mack Vehicles built between May 16, 2011 and November 14, 2011 are equipped with an engine turbocharger bypass valve. On October 17, 2011 a main software update reprograms the engine control module ( ECM ) and the bypass valve is deactivated. Solution For more information regarding deletion of the Discharge Recirculation Valve ( DRV ) refer to FSB 258-029 , Engine Turbocharger Compressor Bypass Valve Deletion Kit, Installation - found in the eMedia Center, located in the Applications section on Trucks Dealer Portal. Internal comments (BO) 1. " No " US10 Emission Engines can have delete completed. 2. Only engines with US10+6 main software with build dates above clean point break: 11 Liter - after SN# 535298 it is a 10+6 13 Liter - after SN# 961636 it is a 10+6 16 Liter - after SN# 51128 it is a 10+6 3. Premium Tech Tool 2 ( PTT2) will not provide diagnostics for the DRV if the engine software is above 21807201 on US10+ engines built between the dates above.
