Model(s) Year VIN Range Vehicle-Specific Equipment A8 2019 - 2021 All V8TFSI Condition Customer states: The engine does not start. Workshop findings: There are no relevant DTCs stored. When operating the brake pedal the engine will start. Technical Background To start the EA825 V8TFSI it is necessary to operate the brake pedal, among other things. If the brake pedal is not operated, there is no driver message in the affected vehicles that suggests the brake pedal is to be operated. This could lead to a customer concern. Production Solution Not applicable. Service Explain to the customer that to start the engine it is necessary to operate the brake pedal, along with any other additional information needed by the customer. Notes: Parts replacement does not solve this issue. Claims for replaced parts will be subject to review. Warranty This TSB is informational only and not applicable to any Audi Warranty.
