THIS TSB HAS BEEN SUPERSEDED OR DEACTIVATED 202020 TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN Diesel Engines - Illuminated MIL With DTC P2002 10 March 2020 Model: Ford 2018-2020 F-150 2017-2020 F-Super Duty 2015-2019 Transit Issue: Some 2015-2019 Transit vehicles equipped with a 3.2L engine, 2018-2019 F150 vehicles equipped with a 3.0L engine, 2017-2019 Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine built on or after 13-May2017 may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P2002 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to a crack in the diesel particulate filter (DPF) substrate. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to replace the DPF. Action: Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition on vehicles that meet all of the following criteria: • One of the following vehicles: - 2015-2019 Transit with 3.2L engine - 2018-2019 F-150 with 3.0L engine - 2017-2019 Super Duty with 6.7L engine and built on or after 13-May-2017 • DTC P2002 is stored in the PCM NOTE: Part quantity refers to the number of that service part number required, which may be different than the number of individual pieces. DR202020C 4.1 Hrs. 2015-2019 Transit Diesel: Additional Time To Check And Adjust Front Toe (Can Be DR202020D Claimed With Operations C Transit Only) 0.7 Hrs. 2015-2019 Transit Diesel With Lane Departure Warning System: Additional Time To Check And Adjust Front Toe Includes Time To Align Camera (Can Be Claimed With Operations C Transit Only) 0.9 Hrs. DR202020E Repair/Claim Coding Causal Part: 5H270 Condition Code: 01 Service Procedure For repairs covered by the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, completion of the procedure outlined in this TSB does not require obtaining Prior Approval or completion of a Cost Cap. Correct any other DTCs other than P2002 before performing this article. 1. Check for DTCs. Is P2002 the only DTC stored in PCM memory? (1). Yes - proceed to Step 2. (2). No - refer to the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Manual for all other DTCs through normal diagnostics first. Then proceed to Step 2 for DTC P2002. 2.
