Mack Trucks Greensboro, NC USA Field Service Bulletin Trucks Date Group No. Release Page 3.2020 386 011 01 1(10) Air Pressure Switch, Replacement LEU, MRU, TE, LR FSB 386-011, Air Pressure Switch, Replacement (March 2020) On certain Mack Trucks, models LEU, MRU, LR and TE built from September 25th, 2006 until March 9th, 2020, the truck may be equipped with an air pressure switch 25171211 or 21410087 that is prone to premature failure. A replacement switch has been introduced, Volvo part number 23721213. This switch is physically different from 25171211 or 21410087. 25171211 or 21410087 has a push to fit connector, 23721213 has a threaded connector. To replace switch 25171211 or 21410087 with switch 23721213, follow the procedure outlined in this Field Service Bulletin. However, key components addressed in this information are represented as accurately as possible. 1 Park the vehicle on a flat and level surface. 2 Apply the parking brake. 3 Place the gear lever in neutral. 4 Install the wheel chocks. Part Description Air pressure switch Air pressure switch Fitting (Reducer) Manifold port with 1/ 8” NPT Manifold port with 1/ 4” NPT Part Number Quantity 23721213 1 23721213 1 25091719 1 Condition: If the manifold port has the 1/8” NPT, perform the below procedure. 1 Install the switch. Note: The switch should be installed hand tight, then tightened 2 to 3 turns for a leak tight seal. T3157364 Condition: If the manifold port has the 1/4” NPT, perform the below procedure. 2 Install the fitting. Note: The fitting should be installed hand tight, then tightened 2 to 3 turns for a leak tight seal. 3 Install the switch.
