01 MIL on, DTCs P030100, P030200, and/or P030300 are stored in the ECM 01 20 81 2060491/1 August 26, 2020. Model(s) Year VIN Range Vehicle-Specific Equipment A8 2019 All 3.0 TFSI Condition Customer states: MIL on. The idle speed is erratic. Workshop findings: For a single cylinder misfire DTC this bulletin does not apply, continue diagnosis outside of this TSB. At least two of the following DTCs are stored in the engine control module (ECM), J623 (address word 0001) and occur at the same time: DTC P030100 (cylinder 1 misfire). And/or DTC P030200 (cylinder 2 misfire). And/or DTC P030300 (cylinder 3 misfire). Technical Background With a fully loaded activated charcoal filter reservoir and high outside temperatures the discharge point of the fuel vapor on bank 1 can cause multiple cylinders misfiring. This occurs only on bank 1 because of a too rich mixture. Production Solution New software in the ECM, J623 (address word 0001) addressed the condition. Page 1 of 3 © 2020 Audi of America, Inc.
