Water containing anti-icing agents may splash onto the Heat Protector and cause corrosion, which may then create a rattling noise. This TSB instructs dealers to replace the Heat Protector Assembly with a new part. The existing Exhaust Manifold may be re-used. (4968) Page 2 of 4 TSB-20-15-001 REPAIR PROCEDURE On a customer complaint basis, replace the Heat Protector Assembly with a new part and reinstall the Exhaust Manifold. 1. Remove the Exhaust Manifold Assembly from the vehicle. Refer to the work procedure illustration below and the workshop manual, if necessary. 2. Replace the Heat Protector Assembly with a new part. Refer to the work procedure illustration below. 3. Reinstall the Exhaust Manifold after referring Part table below as the gasket, flange nut, and plain washer are not reusable.
