AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT ON – DTC B1346/B1481
This bulletin provides information related to the replacement of the driver’s airbag clock spring
assembly on some 2012-2013MY Rio (UB) and 2014-2015MY Forte/Koup (YD) associated with
the Warranty Extension Program (WTY017). If the Airbag Warning Light is ON with any of the
DTC’s below, follow the procedure outlined in this bulletin to resolve the issue.
DTC Description:
B1346 - Driver Air Bag Resistance Too High (1st Stage)
B1481 - Driver Air Bag Resistance Too High (2nd Stage)

Replace the Clock Spring by referring to
the “Restraint → Air Bag Module → Driver
Air bag (DAB) Module and Clock Spring
→ Repair procedures” chapter in the
applicable Shop Manual on KGIS.
