door.
CAUSE:
To be confirmed.

Follow the instructions below.

Door trim panel clip quantity is per door. Order the specified quantity (9 or 10) for
each Door Primary Seal being replaced.

SERVICE INSTRUCTION:
1.
Identify the door primary seal(s) as per the Customer concern.
2.
Remove the identified door interior trim panel (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section:
501-05 - Interior Trim and Ornamentation - Front/Rear Door Trim Panel ).

Remove the door frame interior finisher trim.

NOTES:
The taped line must precisely follow the inner edge of the door primary
seal.

Using a suitable tape, mark the position of the inside edge of the door primary seal
following its profile around the whole door.

On the lower edge of the door, mark the center position where the two ends of the
door primary seal join on the tape already applied.

NOTES:
Take note of the profile orientation of the door primary seal before
removal.
Remove the door seal at 30 degrees to the plane in which it is fitted
while keeping it under tension to reduce the amount of adhesive left
behind.

Remove and discard the door primary seal.

Take care not to move or damage the taped line around the door.

Clean and remove any remaining door seal adhesive from the edge of the door.

NOTES:
Make sure the replacement door primary seal is installed in the same
profile orientation as the original.
Make sure to exactly follow the marked line when installing the new
door primary seal.

Starting with one end of the new door primary seal, start installing the seal against
the outside of the taped line at the point previously marked on the lower edge of
the door.

Using a suitable tool, trim the excess length off the newly installed door primary seal
so that it meets the other end of the seal on the lower edge of the door.

After installing the replacement door primary seal, apply pressure to the seal around
the full circumference using a roller or similar to make sure the adhesive bonds to
the door.

Close the door.
15.
Only if necessary: repeat steps 2-14 to any other affected door identified in Step 1.
