GHG17 1-Box Inlet and Outlet Exhaust Clamps
ISSUE
There is a short supply of exhaust clamps, part number DDE A6809950502, used as inlet and
outlet exhaust clamps on GHG17 heavy duty engines (DD13, DD15 and DD16) with a 1-Box
aftertreatment configuration.
REQUIRED ACTION
Exhaust clamp part number TCX T130158342AC2 may be used as a substitute for DDE
A6809950502, however, these two exhaust clamps have different torque specifications. Proper
tightening of the clamp is necessary to achieve adequate sealing of the exhaust pipe. The table
below provides the correct torque specifications for each clamp.

Some aftertreatment parts kits may be impacted by the short supply of exhaust clamp DDE
A6809950502. These kits may contain the alternative clamp TCX T130158342AC2. The
alternative clamp is identifiable by its wider strap and larger bolt. The kits listed in the table
below may come with either of these two clamps and the correct torque specification should be
followed based on the clamp supplied in the kit.
