Overview: BMW AG has requested the inspection of any
dealer stock of the part below against the picture to the right to
ensure it is manufactured correctly.

Stock should not be sold or installed on any vehicle
until inspection is completed.
Concerned are all parts delivered and shipped so far.
Please return all incorrect part(s) to your facing Regional
Distribution Center (RDC). Submit for return using a YR26
damage claim with order reason BM2. A valid BMW delivery and
delivery item number must be entered, and TEC283 must
appear in the text of your TEC claim. For assistance locating the
delivery number, please open an IDS ticket with Dealer Services in
the Claims section directed to Returns/Claims/Quality.
TEC283 is valid from December 16, 2020, through
December 29, 2020. The deadline for filing a claim
under TEC283 is December 29, 2020. All parts must
be returned to your facing RDC no later than January
12, 2021.
Please reorder the same number if needed.
