2016 Mazda6 vehicles with VINs lower than JM1 GJ ****** 453959 (produced before October 01, 2015)
2016 CX-3 vehicles with VINs lower than JM1 DK ****** 118489 (produced before October 05, 2015)
DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may exhibit the active driving display opening/closing improperly as described below:
• It does not open or close when the ignition is turned ON or OFF.
• The display operation does not fully open/close.
• It closes and then opens by itself while the vehicle is moving.
This concern may be caused by voltage fluctuation to the active driving display which activates pinching detection.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Verify customer concern.
2. Replace the Active Driving Display. Refer to MS3 online Workshop Manual:
• Mazda2 - ACTIVE DRIVING DISPLAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
• Mazda6 - ACTIVE DRIVING DISPLAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
• CX-3 - ACTIVE DRIVING DISPLAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
3. Verify repair.
