Technical Background
Since open source software is used in the Audi virtual cockpit, the manufacturer is obliged to display the relevant
information and license conditions in the Audi virtual cockpit on demand.
This version information screen is displayed after pressing the trip odometer reset button twice within five seconds
after turning on the ignition. This is a legally required display feature and not a quality defect of the vehicle.
Production Solution
Not applicable.
Service
Please inform the customer that the reset button of the trip odometer should only be pressed once within five
seconds after switching on the ignition. Otherwise, the software information screen will be displayed.
