An SSM is a quick method of communicating "Need To Know" information to the technical service community. SSM's may be issued in advance of a technical bulletin or may be the only communication on a given topic. All information contained in Jaguar technical communications are intended for use by trained, professional technicians with the knowledge, tools, and equipment required to complete the procedure correctly and safely. It informs the Technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or provides information that could assist in correct vehicle and diagnostic service. SSM 75405 - Vehicles equipped with AJ20P4 Check Engine MIL Models : E-Pace / X540 F-Pace / X761 F-Type / X152 XE / X760 XF / X260 Engineer Priestner Matt Name : Last 10 MAY 2021 15:31:58 Modified : Category : Driveability Symptom : 698298 Malfunction Indicator Lamp Content : Issue: Check Engine MIL illuminated with DTC P0096-85 (and possibly P0099-00) stored in the PCM. Cause: This complaint is currently under investigation and we are in need of undisturbed parts for further analysis. Action: Should you encounter a vehicle with the DTCs listed above stored in the PCM, please do not disassemble the vehicle for diagnosis.
