Pierce Dealer Network FROM: Pierce Customer Service DATE: August 19, 2014 RE: Service Topic 349 – Red Dot Ceiling Mounted R-6555 Evaporator Filter Replacement Overview The Red Dot R-6555 air conditioning system is found in all Dash CF, Velocity FR and Impel FR custom cabs. To ensure proper maintenance of this a/c system, Red Dot recommends that the evaporator filter be replaced every 90 days. Additionally, while changing the evaporator filter, Red Dot recommends that the drain pans be cleaned and the condensate pump filter is inspected and replaced as necessary. To help facilitate this requirement, Pierce has established part numbers and pricing for the evaporator and condensate pump filters.
