Service Technical Information 209/21 ENU 2470 2 Complaint - Error Message "Engine Control Fault" Immediately After Starting the Vehicle: Observe Specified Procedure (209/21) Vehicle Type: Cayenne E-Hybrid (9YA) / Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid (9YA) / Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupé (9YB) / Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid Coupé (9YB) Model Year: As of 2018 Concerns: DME control unit Information: Immediately after starting the vehicle, the yellow warning message "Engine control fault - Driving permitted - Visit workshop" appears in the instrument cluster. The vehicle can be driven after switching the ignition off and on again. The fault memory entry "P060C00 Function restriction (0078D5)" is stored in the fault memory of the DME control unit. Information The remedial action described below applies only to the fault memory entry P060C00 together with the data error code 0078D5. Action required: • • Read out and erase the fault memory of the DME control unit using 9900 - PIWIS Tester 3. To prevent this fault from occurring again, always press the brake pedal for as long as required when starting the vehicle until the "Ready" message lights up Instrument cluster: "Ready" message in the instrument cluster and then release it. Instrument cluster: "Ready" message Information The procedure for starting the vehicle is also described in the "Hybrid vehicle" section of the Owner's Manual.
