Vehicle Emission Control Information Label

This is to notify you of an Emission Service Campaign launch regarding the replacement of the Vehicle Emission Control Information label on
37 Model Year ("MY") 2020-2021 CLA-Classand GLE/GLS-Class (118, 167 platform) vehicles. Affected VINs will be flagged in VMI as "OPEN"
on February 11, 2022.
Background
Issue
Mercedes-Benz AG ("MBAG"), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that
on certain Model Year (“MY”) 2020-2021 CLA-Class (118 platform), GLE/GLS-Class (167
platform) vehicles, the Vehicle Emission Control Information Label may not correspond to the
certified classification.
What We’re Doing
MBUSA will conduct an Emission Service Campaign in which an authorized Mercedes-Benz
dealer will replace the Vehicle Emission Control Information Label on the affected vehicles.

Replace Vehicle Emission Control Information Label
Mercedes-Benz AG (“MBAG”), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on
certain Model Year (“MY”) 2020 CLA-Class (model series 118), Model Year (“MY”) 2021 GLE/GLSClass (model series 167) vehicles, the vehicle emission control information label (VECI) may not
correspond to the certified classification. Therefore, the correct VECI label will be affixed on the affected
vehicles.
Prior to performing this Campaign:

VMI must always be checked before performing campaigns to verify that the campaign is required on
a specific vehicle. Always check for any other open campaigns, and perform accordingly.
Please review the entire Campaign bulletin and follow the repair procedure exactly as described.
Approximately 37 vehicles are affected.

Work procedure
1. Open engine hood
2. Replace information label at bonding position 3.4 (Figure 1) at inside of hood.
BIN / ULEV 125 must be present on the information label.
Attention: Take into account order information for model 167 with or without code 085!
