Technical Service Bulletin 48 Steering wheel heater is not working, DTC B145504 is stored in the steering column control module 48 22 23 2053869/5 March 9, 2022. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 48 number 20-91 dated October 27, 2020, for reasons listed below. Workshop findings: The following DTC may be stored in the steering column electronics control module, J527 (address word 0016): • DTC B145504 (Temperature sensor of steering wheel heating defective) (active/static) or (passive/sporadic) with symptom code 7340800. Technical Background The steering wheel heating can switch itself off after 5 minutes under certain conditions. To switch it on, the customer must press the button of the steering wheel heater or an ignition cycle has to take place. Environmental conditions (such as direct sunlight, high temperatures, etc.) can also lead to the premature deactivation of the steering wheel heating. © 2022 Audi of America, Inc.
