should be conducted at the nearest opportunity, make a note of the required action on the workshop order before it is signed by the customer If it is omitted to perform the work required during a workshop visit, the customer should be notified immediately You should also pass on this information to your new and used car sales departments so that affected vehicles are checked and repaired during manufacture (Figure 1) Figure 1 Check If the vehicle is not already listed as repaired in “Repair history" (in Elsa pro), check for the presence of the red paint completion mark within the Identification section (Figure 9) If neither are evident please conduct the instructions within the Work section to completion Genuine parts N01 953 15 - Fixings (x3) Work CAUTION: Ensure Safety goggles are worn for the duration of this procedure IMPORTANT: The following instructions must be conducted with the engine cross brace removed DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPLACE THE FIXINGS WITHOUT REMOVING THE ENGINE CROSS BRACE 1) Remove the right hand engine cover - Rep.Gr 10 • Remove the centre engine cover - Rep,Gr 10 • Remove the engine cross brace - Rep.Gr 50 2) Referring to Figure 2 - Remove the right and left hand harness bracket fixings INTERNAL Figure 2 • Referring to Figure 3 - At the location shown (CIRCLED) - With care unclip the harness bracket from the metal retaining clips • With care manoeuvre the harness upwards (ARROWS) Figure 3 • Referring to Figures 4 - With care manoeuvre the harness into the position shown to allow access to the left hand upper fixing Figure 4 3) Referring to Figure 5 - Slacken the original (x3) fixings (DO NOT REMOVE ALL FIXINGS UNTIL INSTRUCTED) INTERNAL Figure 5 4) Referring to Figure 6 - Remove the left hand upper fixing and immediately TIGHTEN THE FIXING UNTIL INSTRUCTED - This instruction must be followed to allow the new fixings to be hand started and installed without resistance 5) Repeat Step 4 on the upper right hand fixing and immediately on the lower right hand fixing 6) Once all new fixings (x3) have been successfully hand started and installed - Torque tighten (x3) fixings to 20 Nm in the order shown (Figure 8) Figure 8
