In the event of a conflict between the procedures set forth in this bulletin and the laws that apply to your dealership, you must follow those applicable laws. Limited Production Options (LPO) utilize Accessory Dealer Installers (ADI) for installation of production tires on accessory wheels. The vehicle is shipped with Production Tires mounted on transit wheels. These wheels are utilized only for use at the production plant and during transportation to the dealership. Once the vehicle arrives at the dealership, the tire and wheel assemblies are removed from the vehicle and sent to the ADI. Starting January 1st, 2023, ADI’s will be providing at least 4 transit tire labels to the dealers. These labels are to be placed on the tread of each transit tire during removal from the vehicle (illustrated below). This allows proper tracking of the assemblies to the ADI and during the disassembly/assembly process at the ADI. Each label contains the VIN of the vehicle that the Accessory Wheels are being installed on. Copyright 2022 General Motors LLC. All Rights Reserved. 6222818 It might be necessary to clean the area on the tire(s) prior to installation of the label. Important: If applicable, an ADI core could be impacted if labels are not installed or missing from the returned transit tires. If the assemblies are not labeled at time of pickup by the ADI, the ADI may not accept them. If the labels are not received from the ADI, the dealer should contact the ADI directly to obtain replacement labels. If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact your local ADI distributor. Page 2 December, 2022 Bulletin No.: 22-NA-257 In instances where only the LPO wheels are received from the ADI, it is dealer responsibility to install the production tire on the wheel, and shipping labels are not to be installed. Dealers should install the LPO wheel and return the transit wheel to the ADI using your normal return process. Version 1 Modified Released December 23, 2022 GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition.
