VIBRATION DURING LIGHT OR MODERATE THROTTLE INPUT

APPLIED DATES:
Armada: Built on or before July 22, 2018
Titan/Titan XD: Built on or before September 12, 2018
APPLIED TRANSMISSIONS: 7 Speed Automatic
IF YOU CONFIRM
A vibration during light or moderate throttle input between 20 – 40 mph,
OR
RPM flare / slip feeling / vibration during or immediately after a 2 – 3 upshift or 3 – 4 upshift
with light or moderate throttle input.
ACTION
Replace the Torque Converter.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Remove the transmission assembly from the vehicle.

Refer to the ESM: TRANSMISSION & DRIVELINE > TRANSAXLE &
TRANSMISSION > 7AT: RE7R01B > UNIT REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION >
TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY > Removal and Installation
2.
Remove the Torque Converter from the transmission assembly.
3.
Install a new Torque Converter from PARTS INFORMATION.
IMPORTANT:
o Be sure to install a new input shaft O-ring when replacing the Torque
Converter.
o After installing the Torque Converter into the transmission assembly, check
dimension (A) before installing the transmission assembly in the vehicle.
 (A): Dimension between the end of the converter housing and the Torque
Converter 24.0 mm (0.94 in.).

Reinstall the transmission assembly into the vehicle.

