  Nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain 2019-2020 altima and 2018-2021 titan vehicles equipped with continental tires. On the affected vehicles, it is possible that one or more tires were cured for too long during tire production.

• Recall 144145 [USA]: The incorrect marks may cause the headlights to be aimed incorrectly during servicing, resulting in insufficient illumination of the road while driving at night, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.
  Nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain 2019 titan vehicles equipped with led headlights. The headlights may have incorrect aiming marks. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard number 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."

• Recall 151852 [USA]: The lack of an image in the back-up camera display increases the risk of a crash.
  Nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain 2018-2019 nissan altima, armada, frontier, kicks, leaf, maxima, murano, nv, nv200, pathfinder, rogue, rogue sport, sentra, titan, titan diesel, versa note and versa sedan vehicles, as well as infiniti q50, q60, qx30 and qx80 vehicles. Additionally included are 2019 nissan gt-r and taxi and infiniti qx50, qx60, q70, q70l vehicles. The back-up camera and display settings can be adjusted such that the rear view image is no longer visible and the system will retain that setting the next time the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 111, "rear visibility."
  nissan will notify owners in phases, having dealers update the back-up camera settings software, free of charge. The recall began november 11, 2019 and all affected vins should be activated.   Nissan north america, inc. (nissan) is recalling certain 2017-2019 gasoline, light duty, titan vehicles. The alternator harness may have been damaged during the engine installation process, possibly resulting in an electrical short.
  nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the alternator harness for the proper routing and any damage.   Issue: certain vehicles were built with tires that may have been cured too long. As a result, the sidewall could crack or the tread and belts could separate. This could lead to a sudden loss of air pressure and could cause a tire failure. Note: this recall only affects certain continental tires, with specific date codes and mold numbers. Safety risk: a tire failure could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: nissan will notify the owners by mail and instruct them to take the vehicle to a dealer to inspect and replace the tires, if necessary.

• Recall 2019459 [Canada]: Visual system
  Issue: on certain vehicles, the rear view camera system does not return to the default setting when the transmission is shifted to reverse. This could cause a reduction in rear visibility if a driver had previously adjusted the camera display. Canadian regulations require that the rear view image returns to its original setting each time the camera is turned on. Safety risk: reduced rear visibility could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: the company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to update the software for the rear view camera.

• Recall 2019319 [Canada]: Electrical
  Issue: on certain trucks, the alternator wiring harness may have been damaged during assembly. This could cause a short circuit to occur. It may result in abnormal electrical activity (i.E. Interior lights flickering, intermittent radio) and could prevent the battery from charging. Over time, the battery could discharge. Ultimately, this may result in an engine stall. In rare cases, the short circuit may result in an engine compartment fire. Safety risk: a loss of engine power and/or a loss of power to electrical systems could increase the risk of a crash. An electrical short circuit could create a fire risk. Corrective actions: nissan will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their truck to a dealer to inspect the alternator wiring harness. The harness will be repositioned or replaced if necessary.

• Loss of motive power due to broken crankshaft with no ability to restart. investigation # PE23020

  The office of defects investigation has identified 10 vehicle owner questionnaire (voq) reports and several early warning reporting (ewr) field reports for model years (my) 2016 through 2019 nissan titan xd diesel trucks alleging a loss of motive power. The trucks are experiencing a failure of the crankshaft resulting in an engine stall with no ability to restart. Repairing these vehicles requires replacement of the engine. The subject trucks are equipped with a 5.0l v8 diesel engine manufactured by cummins inc. Multiple process changes were implemented by cummins during the production of these engines. Odi is opening this preliminary evaluation (pe) to assess the scope, frequency, and severity of the potential problem and to fully assess the potential safety-related problem. Tl* the contact owns a 2019 nissan titan equipped with general tires, tire line: grabber a/tx, tire size: 265/70/r18, dot number: a3h4hmal5018. The contact stated that the tire continually loss air pressure and air pressure had to be added every two days. The vehicle was taken to al west nissan (2540 n bishop ave #1, rolla, mo 65401) who informed the contact that there was no recall on the tires. Additionally, the contact was informed that there was a pinhole leak with a 2 inch crack on the inside of the tire. The dealer installed the spare tire and shipped the defective tire back to the manufacturer to be examined. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the failure. The failure mileage was 15,500. The vin was not available.

Not running, doors closed, doors open random . Radio comes on. Can shift mode (radio station/cd player/ etc) dealer has put on radio tech note. Nothing done. Battery was replaced within first 6 months. Nissan offered 1500 to drop it.. No further action has been done.. They closed my account because i refused to accept theyre cover up, i thought was radio but dont know .. They have witnessed it.

2019 nissan titan pro-4x while driving the truck, the battery voltage will drop below 12 volts (as low as 11.75 volts). When the voltage is low i've noticed that the transmission is constantly 'hunting' to find the right gear. Also the throttle control becomes 'sluggish'. When trying to lightly accelerate it will not gain speed until the transmission downshifts harshly. On a handful of occasions i've experienced an issue where i can push the accelerator pedal to the floor and it would not accelerate at all. The engine rpms would slowly increase but the truck would continue to slow down as if the transmission was not fully 'engaged'. Once every 2-3 uses of the truck it will not start and acts like the battery is dead. I jump start it and then it cranks right away. I've load tested the battery and it is still in good condition. The problem was intermittent for the first year of ownership but now is a consistent problem. I've had to buy a portable battery jump starter to keep in the truck because i keep getting stranded. This is also a possible safety issue because the electrical control system is designed to operate above 12 volts. When the voltage drops below 12 volts then it is possible to render some of the vehicle control systems (including safety systems) inoperable which could possibly result in a crash causing injury and/or death. I am a control systems engineer and have over 25 years of experience in industrial electrical controls.
