This is due to a limited GPS receiver capacity resulting in rollover of internal chip memory; the rollover occurred on January 1, 2022 at 12:00AM local time. Other Navigation Functions that can be Affected Function Symptom Navigation history The display of navigation history including registered location or destination history is not in the latest order. Data newly added is not shown at the top, but at the bottom of the list. Route guidance Navigation detour guidance may not perform properly. Traffic information Updated traffic information may not display on the navigation system properly. AcuraLink • AcuraLink cannot be connected. • Server route is not available due to the incorrect date and time information sent from the vehicle. © 2023 American Honda Motor Co., Inc. – All Rights Reserved Page 1 of 2 WORK AROUND On August 17, 2022, the system’s internal calendar recalibrated and the GPS time signal became valid again. The clock shows the correct GPS time, but most could be off by up to 1 hour because the system’s internal calendar interprets the daylight-saving time (DST) change incorrectly. The client can adjust the time correctly, and it will not be affected if the vehicle’s power is cycled ON and OFF. The correct time will display until the next DST change based on the system’s internal calendar. Advise the client to set the Auto Daylight Saving function to OFF and adjust the DST manually. NOTE: This work around will not address the incorrect calendar date that can affect the reminder function.
