For 2018 and newer chassis, the vehicle overspeed alert may come active before the programmed speed
limit is reached.

The Vehicle Overspeed Threshold is set with parameter (VECU4) ZX5, (VECU5) P1UWE and Driver overspeed
warning default trigger is set with parameter ROS. These parameters may be set at a low enough value that
road speed limit is higher. This issue is most likely to occur following changes made to the road speed limit
with pedal and/or cruise.
If the vehicle overspeed alert is activating at too low of a speed on a VECU4
chassis follow steps below:
1. In Premium Tech Tool (PTT), run Operation 1700-22-03-03 Parameter Programming. The Operation can be
found under the Program tab.
2. Locate and review the value of parameters specified below:

VECU4 VECU5
mid 140 - ROS (Older Cluster)
SA18 - P1X7R (Newest Cluster)
3. Set the value for the parameters listed above higher than the values for the other road speed limits.
Note: The maximum value that the specified parameters should be set to is 86 mph (138 km/h). Setting the
value higher may cause other issues.
