Bulletin No.: Service Bulletin Date: 24-NA-042 March, 2024 TECHNICAL Subject: Engine Misfire, Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) Illuminated – DTCs P0300, P0030, P0031, P0032, P0053, P0135, P0155, P0171 and/or P0172 Brand: Model: Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD/3500HD GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD Model Year: from to 2024 2024 VIN: from to Engine: Transmission: 6.6L (L8T) Involved Region or Country North America, Middle East, Israel, Palestine, Australia/New Zealand Condition Some customers may comment of one or more of the following conditions: • Engine Misfire • MIL Illuminated Some technicians may find one or more of the following DTCs set in the Engine Control Module (ECM): • P0300: Engine Misfire Detected • P0030: HO2S Heater Control Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1 • P0031: HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 1 • P0032: HO2S Heater Control Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 Sensor 1 • P0053: HO2S Heater Resistance Bank 1 Sensor 1 • P0135: HO2S Heater Performance Bank 1 Sensor 1 • P0155: HO2S Heater Performance Bank 2 Sensor 1 • P0171: Fuel Trim System Lean • P0172: Fuel Trim System Rich Cause This condition may be caused by the mis-routed Bank 1 Sensor 1 oxygen sensor wiring harness, which is coming in contact with the exhaust pipe. Correction If you encounter a vehicle with the above concern, raise vehicle and inspect the oxygen sensor wiring. If oxygen sensor wire is contacting the exhaust pipe or heat shield, it will be necessary to replace the Bank 1 Sensor 1 oxygen sensor and ensure the sensor wiring is routed away from the exhaust.
