Condition:

Cause:
Possible incorrect installation of fuel line jumper hose during service work
Correction:
Many of today’s fuel injected gasoline engines use a short fuel line jumper from the fuel tank chassis line to the
engine. Although, most common on direct injected gasoline engines. It is possible on certain model vehicles that
this fuel line jumper hose can be installed incorrectly. This makes it important to observe the direction of this fuel
jumper hose during installation in order to avoid a no start condition, low power or low fuel pressure situation.
Many of these fuel jumper lines are equipped with a one way check valve. Pay close attention to the orientation of
the fuel line during removal so that it is properly reinstalled. This is also important to avoid any contact that could
wear into the lines if improperly installed. When servicing these systems please refer to the latest Service
Information for correct fuel hose orientation.
