2009 CHEVROLET EXPRESS 1500 with 72000.0 miles

I'm from an independent repair shop. I have recently had problems with this 2009 express van. It has for no reason that i can tell. Deployed the side air bags while backing the vehicle up a driveway @ less than 5 mph. To give you a little history about the vehicle. The customer purchased the vehicle from a used car dealer approximately 6 month ago. The first problem with the vehicle was with the stabi-trac & reduced power light came on . We hooked up are tech-2 scan tool an retrieved the codes an diagnosed the problem with the steering wheel position sensor and the throttle position sensor. We repair those issues and sent it on. A little over a month latter the customer was driving the vehicle down a paved road @ 50- 55 mph on a near straight away. And it deployed the side air bags & seat belt pretensioners . The customer got it repaired at a body shop which replaced side air bags, seat belt pretensioners, side impact sensors & air bag module. Now roughly a week later it deployed the side airbags again while backing up a driveway in reverse to pickup his wife. I have the vehicle now and retrieved the codes ( B0052/ B0023 / B0022 / B0016 / b015 / B0090-71 ) does gm have problems with this type of vehicle? And i'm wondering can a rollover sensor malfunction an cause this to happen. Going by the code B0090 i have removed the carpet on the vehicle and found moisture under the carpet next to the rollover sensor. I removed it and found no corrosion at the wiring or connector. And the modules is a sealed module. Can anybody pull the crash data out of the airbag module so i can tell what parts are all need to be replaced. Any incite would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

2007 CHEVROLET CORVETTE with 37000.0 miles

Dash airbag service light periodically illuminated. This condition (to date), has not resulted in logging any diagnostic fault codes, i.E.; dtc(s) B0012, B0013, B0016, B0016, B0019, B0020, B0022, B0023, B0026, B0033, B0040, B0042 or B0044, this illuminated service light fault is only rectified when either; a) i manually re-positioning the driver's seat until the light turns off, or b) i physically re-positioning the yellow (side-airbag) connector located under driver's seat. Either method results in only a temporary resolve, before the problem occurs again. I assume this issue could also be true for the passenger seat too. By service notice / vin#, gm acknowledges a potential / real airbag issue in my vehicle, dated may 2016. Based on the referenced may 2016 gm service notice, and further substantiated via phone communication, gm requires that a specific diagnostic fault code be present before gm will cover any service coasts to resolve this issue. This, while knowing the existence of an impending safety issue, described in the may 2016 service notice, is uniquely independent of any requirement there must be a diagnostic fault code detected. Gm needs to accept ownership of this acknowledged well described issue. In this instances, gm shifts coast responsibility for this potential/real safety issue to the car owner. My research indicates that this issue is not unique to the Chevrolet c6 Corvette, but rather systemic throughout gm model types. Current dealer estimate charges to perform fault diagnostics only (no fault code present), is > $290.00, plus tbd addition repair coasts. What's wrong with this scenario?

2007 LEXUS RX400H with 5000.0 miles

Repeated airbag defect in Lexus 2007 rx 400h : 2007 Lexus 400h (hybrid) has been having air bag safety problems. The car was purchased dec 16, 2006 from magnussen Lexus in fremont, ca. It currently has about 7000 miles. The problem started soon after the purchase, in april 2007 the air bag light came on and stayed on. We took the car to the dealer to get it taken care of. The 1st visit to the car dealer (magnussen Lexus of fremont, ca) involved them adjusting the pin connectors to fix what they thought was the right side squib malfunction. The problem reappeared on 20th april 2007. The dealer indicated that they thought the wiring was loose and tightened the wiring connector under the driver seat. The problem reappeared on may 02, 2007. The service technician found codes B0016 and B0017, found the left and right wiring harness bad, had it inspected by a Lexus factory field engineer. The technician replaced left and right floor harness. The car stayed at the dealer for 3 weeks (picked up on may 22nd) where in the problem was identified in the right and left wiring harness. The entire wiring was changed. The problem reappeared again in a few days (may 25th, 2007) and the car has now been with the dealer since then, still attempting to find a comprehensive fix. Lexus has begun discussions with us regarding repurchase of this vehicle, and officially communicated that via a letter dated june 25, 2007. The status of the request is still unknown despite repeated calls to Lexus corporate to find out the nature and extent of the problem and the intended resolution.
