2020 FORD ESCAPE with 84.0 miles

Vehicle purchased 5/12/20. On 5/22/20, at odo 84 miles, on startup, vehicle displayed powertrain fault - illuminates when a powertrain or awd fault has been detected. Contact your authorized dealer as soon as possible. Vehicle flat bed towed to sunstate Ford west colonial dr orlando fl (purchase dealership). Service team had vehicle 5 days. Cleared codes U0131, U0100, U0140, U0155, U0198, U0253, U0257, P0919, U0212, U023A, U0103, U0111, U0121, U013F, U0159, U0232, U0233, U0293, U0401, U0415, U0420, U0424, U0531, U0101, U0418, U0429, U0146. 4 mile test drive. 20 mile drive returned vehicle with no cause or correction. Only explained powertrain failure could not be replicated. Since return, rear automatic liftgate intermittent failure, back up camera failure, headliner drop at front passenger and driver door seal.

2008 TOYOTA PRIUS with 60000.0 miles

Smog check failed because of obd bulb check failure and obdii failure. Service fault codes are U0100 lost communication with ecm/pcm "a" and U0111 lost communication with battery energy control module "a." car only has 60,000 miles.

2008 TOYOTA PRIUS with 77000.0 miles

Driving on sb hwy 35 at 74mph, master warning light came on and vehicle shut down, no electrical or engine control. Pulled safely to shoulder of road. Car would not restart. Got out of car, locked car, unlocked car (Toyota technician instructions), then car restarted. Got car off the road, contacted state farm for tow to autonation Toyota south austin. Toyota technician removed a third party telematic device (in-drive) from obd port. Vehicle diagnostic scan showed two communication errors U0100 and U0111. Third party telematic device was not reinstalled. Vehicle was test driven, held overnight, test driven again and the errors or shutdown did not repeat. Toyota service manager said they have seen third party devices connected to odb port cause errors and have to be removed or replaced. We have three hybrid vehicles in our household each with a third party telematic device from in-drive. All three have been removed and returned to in-drive with supplied packaging and return instructions.
