On certain vehicles equipped with a 2.4l engine, the high pressure power steering hose is routed in a high temperature area, which could cause it to age prematurely and develop a leak. power steering fluid leakage in the presence of an ignition source can result in an under hood fire. correction: dealers will replace the high pressure power steering hose with an updated part that has increased temperature capability.
