Recall 2016296

  • CA Recall: Steering
On certain vehicles, a combination of low battery voltage at engine start up (~7 volts) and the vehicle being parked with the wheels turned could cause an error in the direct adaptive steering ecu. this could cause the steering wheel to be off centered and the vdc warning lamp to illuminate. if operated this way, this could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. correction: dealers will update the direct adaptive steering ecu.
