• Recall 79544 [USA]: Without the amber side reflex reflectors, the lighting visibility may be affected, possibly resulting in a vehicle crash.
  K2 motor is recalling 1,921 aftermarket headlamps of various models sold for use on the above listed vehicles. These headlamps are missing the amber side reflex reflector which fails to conform with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 108, "lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment."
  k2 motor will notify owners and offer a full refund. The recall began on decemeber 17, 2008. Owners may contact k2 motor at 1-909-839-2992.
  this recall only pertains to aftermarket replacement equipment and has no relation to any original equipment installed on vehicles manufactured by honda, ford, or chrysler llc. Tl*the contact owns a 1995 chevrolet pickup. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for brake failure service repair. The technician noticed failure in the brakes lines on the left side of the vehicle due to rust corrosion which was replaced in 2007. Recently, the identical failure occurred with the right side brake line. The vehicle had not been repaired at the time of the complaint. The contact had concern of the safety issue and the uncertainty of the defect without the experienced failure. The failure mileage was 160,000. The current mileage was 167,000.

Dt: brakes caught fire while driving down the road, took vehicle to a mechanic and they said the brakes locked up, under the fender, the brake hub caught fire, due to overheating causing the brakes to catch fire.

The rear window had popped out. The vehicle was out of warranty. Gm was notified and suggested the problem was due to mileage and nothing would be done. *ak *scc *jb

The windshield wipers failed. *jb

Passenger front tire has 2 inch bubble sticking out the tread. This causes vehicle to vibrate. The tire was replaced with a spare and under warranty. Tire size p245/75r16 51,000 miles.*ak consumer stated that other two tires developed tread separation. Dot. # 7ba3 p7b 038 and 7ba3 p7b 497.*yh

Windshield wipers were working intermittently, but now they have failed completely. Vehicle is a 1995 ,chevrolet, fleetside pick-up 4-wheel drive.*ak

The speed of the truck will vary when the problem occurs. When i apply the brakes on dry pavement and good road the truck will jerk hard to the left ,then sometimes it will not. Sometimes the brake pedal will fade clear to the floor when i go to stop at a slow speed. I had a new master cylinder put in the truck, but it still did the same thing. Some times also it will make the funny ratcheting noise like your on a dirt road and trying to stop quickly, but i will be on a good dry asphalt road. Some times i will be at a traffic light and the brake pedal will fade down to the floor. I have had my truck at a auto repair shop for over 6 weeks now and have not been able to solve the problem. It has been extremely difficult for my family to get along with only the one other vehicle that we have.*ak

Tires are 3 years old and are now missing chunks of rubber.They have been rotated and inflated properly.*ak

We bought this pichup new, have had it in the shop many times for the same problem. It stalls on us at any time,they have replaced parts and replaced parts. Each time they say it is either the fuel injection system or a oil leak. They fix it and again it happens. I have notified the manufactory, at one time they extended the warrenty another 1200 miles, but of course the warranty ran out before the truck broke down again. I ask them to at least recall the parts that keep going out or fix the problem and pay at least half of repairs on truck, since it has been doing the same thing over and over since the day we bought the truck. Once a service manager told us that gm was aware of this problem when they put the system on the 1995 trucks, they had the same problem with the 1994 fuel system also. I have almost been rear-ended many times have been in construction areas on highways where there has been no where to pull off. I was passing a car once and it stalled on me, almost got hit head on.Please dont tell me to trade it in cause i cant afford to know. The manafacter acted like i just wanted to get my truck fixed free which is not the case. They told me at this time there is nothing they can do. Also the driver seat broke in the brackets that holds it to the floor. I ask them to fix that when it was still under warranty they told me it wasnt covered. So my husband fixed it the best he could. A few years ago a service rep. From the gm was suppose to meet with us at the dealership, there were about 4 or 5 other people that had complains also, anyway to make it short, the rep. Never showed up and always phoned in with an excuse and said i will be there tomorrow, we went back to the dealer for 3 days hoping he would show up but he never did. I just spent another $500.00 on the pickup getting it fixed again. Help us please. I have been trying to do this for 4 yrs now.
