Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling certain 2020-2022 entegra esteem, odyssey, and jayco greyhawk, redhawk, and greyhawk prestige motorhomes. An inadequate connection between the power steering pressure line and the brake hydroboost unit may result in a sudden loss of power steering fluid. dealers will replace the power steering pressure line and the hydro boost jumper line, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed may 30, 2024. An inadequate connection between the power steering pressure line and the brake hydroboost unit may result in a sudden loss of power steering fluid. dealers will inspect the connection between the power steering lines and the hydroboost unit, and replace the power steering lines, as necessary, free of charge. Recall 147151 [USA]: Contact with the ground may cause the pump and reservoir to detach or leak hydraulic fluids, increasing the risk of a crash.
Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling certain 2020-2021 greyhawk, greyhawk pestige, redhawk, redhawk se, odyssey, and esteem motorhomes. The mounting brackets for the leveling system hydraulic pump and reservoir may fail, allowing the components to contact the ground. jayco will notify owners, and dealers will install a new support bracket, free of charge. The recall began february 3, 2021. Owners may contact jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Recall 2021009 [Canada]: Structure
Issue: on certain motorhomes, the bracket that holds the pump and reservoir for the hydraulic leveling system could fail. If this happens, the pump and reservoir could come in contact with the ground. This could cause a hydraulic fluid leak and cause the parts to separate from the motorhome. Safety risk: a hydraulic fluid leak or parts falling from the motorhome could create a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to install a newly designed bracket to the hydraulic leveling system pump and reservoir.
Recall 2022224 [Canada]: Steering
Issue: on certain motorhomes, the power steering pressure line may not be properly connected to the brake booster. As a result, power steering fluid could leak and cause a loss of power steering and power brake assist. Safety risk: a loss of power brakes can cause a potentially sudden increase in brake pedal force and lead to an increase in stopping distance. A loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort, especially at low speeds. Both could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective actions: jayco will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a ford dealership to inspect the connection between the power steering pressure line and the hydroboost unit. The power steering line will be replaced if the connection is not secure.
