• Recall 155160 [USA]: A fractured rear toe link will cause a sudden change in vehicle handling and increase the risk of a crash.
  Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain 2013-2018 lincoln mkt and ford flex and taurus vehicles with the police interceptor or sho performance pack. The rear suspension toe links may fracture due to stress on the rear suspension.
  ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the rear suspension toe links, free of charge. Remedy parts are not currently available. Owners were notified about the recall on march 3, 2020. A second notice will be mailed when remedy parts become available, which is currently expected to be the end of september 2020. The recall began october 28, 2020. • Recall 123831 [USA]: A loss of power to the fuel pump will cause the engine to stall or prevent the vehicle from starting, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain model year 2013-2015 ford taurus, ford flex, lincoln mks and lincoln mkt vehicles equipped with 3.5l gtdi ecoboost engines and 2013-2015 ford taurus police interceptor vehicles. A component within the fuel pump electric module (pem) may overheat causing a loss of electrical power to the fuel pump.

• Recall 115489 [USA]: If the vehicle experiences a loss of power steering assist, extra steering effort will be required at lower speeds, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.
  Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain model year 2011-2012 ford fusion vehicles without a 3.5l engine and lincoln mkz hybrid electric vehicles, 2011 mercury milan vehicles, 2011-2012 ford taurus, ford flex, lincoln mks, and lincoln mkt vehicles equipped with a 3.5l gtdi engine and 2013 ford taurus, ford flex, lincoln mks, and lincoln mkt vehicles equipped with any available engine. The affected vehicles have electric power steering assist systems that may shut down as a result of a steering motor sensor fault.
  ford will notify owners, and dealers will check the power steering control module (pscm) for diagnostic trouble codes (dtc). If dealers find any loss of steering assist dtcs, the steering gear will be replaced, free of charge. • Recall 105461 [USA]: If the halfshaft and linkshaft become disengaged while driving, power will no longer be transmitted to the wheels, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash. additionally, if the parking brake is not applied before exiting the vehicle, the vehicle may roll away despite the transmission being placed in 'park', increasing the risk of injury to exiting occupants and bystanders.
  Ford motor company (ford) is recalling certain model year 2012-2014 ford edge and lincoln mkx vehicles manufactured september 2, 2010, to november 30, 2013; 2013-2014 ford taurus and lincoln mks vehicles manufactured august 25, 2011, to november 30, 2013; and 2013-2014 ford flex and lincoln mkt vehicles manufactured september 12, 2011, to november 30, 2013. In the affected vehicles, the halfshaft retention circlip may not have been properly installed, and as a result, the halfshaft may move outward and disengage from the linkshaft while driving and without prior warning.
  ford will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicles to make sure that the halfshaft is properly retained. If it is not, dealers will replace the linkshaft and also replace the halfshaft if it shows evidence of spline damage, free of charge. The recall began on august 4, 2014.   On certain vehicles, the fuel pump electric module may be damaged due to high electrical current loads. This could cause the fuel pump to stop operating, which would result in the engine stalling or failing to start. A loss of motive power could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the fuel pump electric module. Note: failure of the fuel pump electric module would cause the malfunction indicator light to illuminate.

• Recall 2015224 [Canada]: Steering
  On certain vehicles, a fault in the electric power steering (eps) system could result in an immediate loss of power steering assist without warning to the driver. This would unexpectedly increase the steering effort force necessary to steer the vehicle at lower vehicle speeds, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will affect repairs as necessary and will reprogram the eps controller with updated software. In the event that an eps fault occurs, this updated software would allow for continued eps function while displaying visual and audible warnings to the driver until the end of the drive cycle.

  On certain vehicles, the right-side halfshaft retention clip may not have been fully engaged, and could allow the halfshaft to separate. If this were to occur while the vehicle is being driven, it could result in a loss of motive power. If this were to occur while the vehicle is parked on an incline without the parking brake applied, it could result in unintended vehicle movement. Both situations could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: dealers will inspect halfshafts for full retention and affect repairs as necessary.

On friday, june 18, 2021 while driving my 2013 ford flex, the power steering went out while i was driving. I went online and found an old may 27, 2015 ford safety recall for this issue but apparently it did not include my car. Not sure how ford determines which cars will/will not have this issue. It needs to include all calls in that category.

I was driving down i-285 (atlanta) with my two daughters in the car and both the “service power steering” and “service advancetrac” lights came on. About 10-15 min into the drive, it became really hard to turn my steering wheel. We were still about 30 min from our house so i had no choice but to drive very slowly until we could get somewhere safe. While trying to turn off the interstate, my steering wheel completely locked up on me!!! Now my car is at my mother’s house because i couldn’t drive any further in fear of an accident. My mechanic put this car on a computer and no codes showed up. From my understanding there was a recall for this particular issue. The dealer i purchased the car from stated they were not aware of this issue and the car showed no signs that the power steering was about to go out.

I had a recall for the driver door latch to be replaced. The very day that it was replaced, i get in, start my vehicle and the passenger door light comes on showing that it's open but it wasn't. I immediately go back inside to ask the service department since they literally just replaced the recalled drivers door latch. They stated that "it's a coincidence " and that it would cost to fix it. I drove it for as long as i could but my alarm would randomly go off and lights start blinking. I was afraid i'd come out oand my vehicle not start due to the battery being dead because of the alarm and lights going off. I broke down and paid to have the passenger door light fixed which the ford service department told me it would. The exact same thing happened and now my back passenger door light keeps coming on!! Alarm randomly goes off and lights blink. I can't afford to gix this again. They told me it would fix the problem yet once they replaced the recalled door latch this has now happened with other doors.

The contact owns a 2013 ford flex. The contact stated that upon opening the front passenger’s and driver’s side doors, a loud grinding sound was coming from the dashboard. The contact also stated that both doors would intermittently fail to unlock upon depressing the unlock button. The contact also noticed that the vehicle was consuming fuel soon after refueling. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the vin was not under recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Recall 20s04 i have second ltr. Contacted mac haik pasadena tx 26 feb 21. They told me parts not available until may. Contacted in may, now tell be parts not available until late june. Ford customer svc reports parts now available.

Tl* the contact owns a 2013 ford flex. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 20v072000 (suspension) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact called rusty eck ford (7310 e kellogg ave, wichita, ks 67207, (316) 685-9211) to confirm that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact owns a 2013 ford flex. The contact stated that the rear review camera failed to operate correctly intermittently, and without warning. The vehicle was not yet diagnosed nor repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and suggested to the contact that he needed to perform a software update with the flash drive that he had purchased. The contact stated that the failure recurred and caused several other software related failures. The failure mileage was approximately 97,000.

In september, the drivers side second row seatbelt broke, the male connection. I called our local dealership and they told me it would cost approximately $750 to replace. We started using the third row instead. Just today, the female connection on the passenger side second row seat broke. Ford is telling me they won't replace the seatbelts. I cannot afford to replace them. And i don't think such an essential safety feature should be left to us for a vehicle less than 10 years old. Do i drive with my children unsecured and just have our family sue ford when we are all dead?
