• Recall 142271 [USA]: If the wiring in the circuit overheats, it can increase the risk of fire.
  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling certain 2014-2019 precept, 2016-2019 alante and 2019 precept prestige motorhomes built on a ford f53 chassis. The blower motor electrical circuit may be missing the 25amp fuse, possibly resulting in overheating of the wiring.
  jayco has notified owners, and dealers will install a 25amp fuse, free of charge. The recall began april 16, 2019. Owners may contact jayco customer service at 1-800-517-9137. Jayco's number for this recall is 9903432.

• Recall 137923 [USA]: The leaking hydraulic fluid leak may spray onto the exhaust system, increasing the risk of a fire.
  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling certain 2018 jayco alante vehicles. The leveling system hydraulic hoses may become damaged due to their location, resulting in a hydraulic fluid leak.

• Recall 134026 [USA]: An overloaded vehicle has an increased risk of a crash.
  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling certain 2018-2019 jayco alante, precept, seneca, redhawk, and melbourne motorhomes. The cargo carrying capacity (ccc) label incorrectly overstates the cargo capacity, potentially causing the vehicle to be overloaded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 120, "wheels and rims - other than passenger cars."

• Recall 133656 [USA]: Failure of the windshield wiper system can decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
  Jayco, inc. (jayco) is recalling certain 2018 jayco alante and 2018-2019 jayco precept vehicles. The windshield wiper system motor on these vehicles may fail when being operated in heavy snow or ice situations, thereby reducing driver visibility. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard (fmvss) number 104, "windshield wiping and washing systems."
  jayco will notify owners, and dealers will replace the wiper module with a new relay pack, free of charge. The recall began on june 29, 2018. Owners may contact jayco customer service at 1-800-517-9137. Jayco's number for this recall is 9903378.

• Recall 2019167 [Canada]: Electrical
  Issue: on certain motorhomes, the dash blower motor does not have proper fuse protection. As a result, an electrical overload or short circuit could cause the wiring to overheat. Safety risk: wiring that overheats could create a risk of a fire. Corrective actions: the company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorhome to a dealer to install a fuse for the dash blower. A 25 ampere fuse will be installed in position 23 in the power distribution box. Dealers will also install a label in the fuse box noting "fuse position 23 max. 25 a".

• Recall 2018460 [Canada]: Other
  On certain motorhomes, the hydraulic hoses for the levelling system may not be properly routed and could be damaged. A hydraulic fluid leak onto a hot exhaust surface could increase the risk of a fire, causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will relocate hoses to the reservoir pump tank area and replace damaged hoses if necessary.

• Recall 2018242 [Canada]: Visual system
  Certain motorhomes may not comply with the requirements of canada motor vehicle safety standard (cmvss) 104 - windshield wiping and washing system. The wiper system could fail as it does not stall or disengage during a heavy snow or ice scenario, contrary to the requirements of the standard. This could reduce the driver's visibility under certain conditions, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: dealers will replace the wiper module with a new relay pack.

Bulletins are notices put out by manufacturers in conjunction with the NHTSA to notify the public of manufacturing issues or changes.

The windshield wiper on the driver's side slams across the windshield and is damaging the windshield when exceeding 36 mph. This is a dangerous situation when at highway speeds and not being able to maintain highways speeds. Plus the windshield is being damaged and the integrity of windshield may become in question. Jayco had a recall for 2018 models, but many with 2017 models also have the same issue. I contacted jayco and jayco says not under the recall, but yet many are having the same issue with the motorhomes outside of the recall dates.
