Tl* the contact owns a 2007 mercedes benz c320. The contact stated that gasoline fumes were emitted into the vehicle. The contact inspected the vehicle and noticed that fuel was leaking from under the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the technician diagnosed that the fuel pump and seal were defective and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 55,600 and the current mileage was 55,610.

The vehicle was stopped, shut off and restarted. The vehicle then resumed normal operation. The failure recurred three times. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnosis and the contact was informed that the transmission electrical plate internal speed sensor would need to be replaced, which would require the entire transmission being replaced. The manufacturer was notified but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure and current mileage was 64,000.
