Recall 138695 [USA]: If the aerial device moves in an unexpected direction, the ladder may contact an object, such as a building or an electrical wire, increasing the risk of injury.

Pierce manufacturing (pierce) is recalling certain 2007-2017 pierce velocity, impel, arrow-xt, quantum, and enforcer emergency response vehicles equipped with 75ft aerial devices with a 21 inch or 28 inch limited retraction bracket. The bracket on the aerial device may detach from the aerial and fall to the ground. pierce will notify owners, and dealers will install additional hardware to mount the limited retraction bracket, free of charge. Pierce manufacturing (pierce) is recalling certain model year 2009-2013 pierce enforcer, impel, quantum, velocity, and arrow xt emergency vehicles manufactured november 11, 2009, to april 23, 2013, and equipped with tak-4 front independent suspensions. The affected vehicles have front lower control arms that may crack and fracture. pierce will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the lower control arms, as necessary, free of charge. Recall 2020240 [Canada]: Structure
Issue: on certain aerial fire trucks, the ladder could rotate unexpectedly to the right when it is being extended due to an error with the control module. Safety risk: a ladder that moves unexpectedly could create an increased risk of injury. Corrective actions: pierce has repaired all affected fire trucks.
Recall 2020239 [Canada]: Structure
Issue: on certain aerial fire trucks, the bracket that limits the travel of the ladder could loosen over time and separate from the ladder. As a result, the bracket could fall to the ground. Safety risk: a bracket that falls from a ladder could create a risk of injury. Corrective actions: pierce has repaired all affected fire trucks.
Recall 2015005 [Canada]: Suspension
On certain vehicles, the lower control arms may have developed cracks at time of manufacture and may fail. This could cause partial suspension failure and could result in a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or property damage. Correction: owners will be provided with inspection instructions to determine if the control arms may be subject to the recall. Those found to be potentially affected will be inspected by the manufacturer and replaced as necessary.
