INTERACTIVE NETWORK SB-10053762-6750 View Message Next Unread Message Sent on 10 From American Honda Parts, Service & Technical Division, Campaign Administration Subject 2008-13 Multi-model VCM2 Misfire Due to Fouled Plugs Warranty Ext 08 2013 Expires on 10 22 2013 DATE: October 8, 2013 To: All Honda Parts and Service Managers, Advisors and Personnel From: American Honda Parts, Service & Technical Division, Campaign Administration Re: 2008-13 Multi-model VCM2 Misfire Due to “Engine Misfire” Warranty Extension Today, October 8, 2013, American Honda is announcing a warranty extension for 2008-12 Accord V6, 2010-12 Crosstour V6, 2008-13 Odyssey, and 2009-13 Pilot vehicles. The warranty extension applies in cases where the spark plugs are fouled and DTCs P0301, P0302, P0303 or P0304 are set, and it covers repairs related to the triggering of these codes. This warranty extension is being administered in response to a class action settlement. During the warranty extension period (8 years, unlimited mileage), customers may be eligible for repairs if their vehicle exhibits the symptoms outlined in service bulletins 13-078, 13-079, 13-080, or 13-082. Note that the repair procedure for 2011-13 Odyssey is currently under investigation, and bulletin 13-081 will be updated once the procedure is complete. Customers may also be eligible for reimbursement for related repairs made at their expense. Reimbursements cannot be processed by dealerships; they must be requested through the claim process established through the class action settlement. Direct all questions related to this or any other aspects of the class action not covered by S/B 13-078, 13-079, 13-080, 13-081, or 13-082 to 888-888-3082 or www.enginemisfiresettlement.com. S/Bs 13-078, 13-079, 13-080, and 13-082 have been posted to ISIS in support of this warranty extension, and include parts, repair, and warranty information related to the campaign. A placeholder version of S/B 13-081 has been posted to ISIS as well, and will be revised once the 2011-13 Odyssey repair procedure is complete. Please make sure to check VIN Inquiry status to determine if a particular vehicle is eligible for this warranty extension.
