SERVICE INFORMATION
When reconfiguring navigation equipped vehicles with CONSULT III plus for any reason,
the ignition must be cycled two times to complete the configuration.
1. Close all of the doors and the trunk, and then lock the doors.
2. Perform the Audio/Navigation unit configuration per the Electronic Service Manual.
3. After the configuration has completed turn the ignition OFF and wait for 3 minutes.
4. Turn the ignition back ON and allow the Navigation to complete the boot-up process.
5. Turn the Ignition back OFF again and wait for 3 minutes.
6. Turn the ignition back ON and confirm that all of the system controls and back up
camera operate correctly.
NOTE: Only after the ignition has been cycled will the configuration complete.
If the configuration has not completed, some of the symptoms that may occur are:

No back up camera
No Steering Wheel switch response to audio inputs
No volume response from volume knob
Volume very loud or very quiet and adjustment is overly sensitive
Equalizer is adjusted so that Bass control is at maximum all the time
DTC U1000 for AVM C/U could be present
If these symptoms occur, reconfiguration of the Navigation unit and cycling of the ignition,
as outlined above, will restore correct operation. Do not replace the Navigation unit.

SERVICE INFORMATION
When reconfiguring an Applied Vehicle with CONSULT-III plus (C-III plus) for any reason,
the ignition must be cycled two (2) times to complete the configuration.
1. Close all of the doors and the trunk, and then lock the doors.
2. Perform the Audio/Navigation unit configuration as instructed in the Electronic Service
Manual (ESM).
3. After the configuration has completed, turn the ignition OFF and wait three (3) minutes.
4. Turn the ignition back ON and allow the Navigation to complete the boot-up process.
5. Turn the ignition back OFF again and wait three (3) minutes.
6. Turn the ignition back ON and confirm that all of the system controls and back up
camera operate correctly.

SERVICE INFORMATION
If the configuration of the Audio/Navigation unit or the Camera Control unit has not been
completed correctly, some of the symptoms that may occur are:
•
No back up camera operation
•
No steering wheel switch response to audio inputs
•
No volume response from volume knob
•
Volume very loud or very quiet and adjustment is overly sensitive
•
Equalizer is adjusted so that Bass control is at maximum all the time
•
DTC U1000 for AVM C/U could be present
If the above symptoms occur:
•
Confirm the configuration of both the Audio/Navigation unit and the Camera Control
unit (if so equipped), is correct.
NOTE: Correct configuration of the appropriate control unit will restore correct
operation. Audio/Navigation unit configuration is outlined on page 2.
Do not replace the Navigation unit, Camera Control unit, or camera without proper
diagnosis. Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for additional diagnostics.

IMPORTANT: When configuring an Audio/Navigation unit of an Applied Vehicle with
CONSULT-III plus (C-III plus) for any reason, the ignition must be cycled two (2) times to
complete the configuration.
1. Perform the Audio/Navigation unit configuration as instructed in the ESM.
•
Use the “Multi AV” selection in CONSULT-III plus (C-III plus) for the
Audio/Navigation unit.
NOTE: “AVM” selection is used for the Camera control unit.
2. After the configuration has completed, turn the ignition OFF, close all of the doors and
the trunk, and then lock the doors and wait three (3) minutes.
3. Turn the ignition back ON and allow the Audio/Navigation unit to complete the boot-up
process.
•
If the Nissan logo does not appear in step 3, the ignition was not left OFF for long
enough. The configuration must be restarted from step 2.
4. Turn the ignition back OFF again, close all of the doors and the trunk, and then lock the
doors and wait three (3) minutes.
5. Turn the ignition back ON and confirm that all of the system controls and back up
camera operate correctly.
•
If the Nissan logo does not appear in step 5, the ignition was not left OFF for long
enough. The configuration must be restarted from step 2.
