iPhone text messages do not appear on multimedia display.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Follow these steps if iPhone text messages are not shown on the multimedia display.
 After the initial pairing is completed, and if applicable to your multimedia system, enable messaging
features by accessing the Phone’s Bluetooth menu.
 First, select the "Information" symbol to the right of the “Connected” system and turn on "Show
Notifications".
 Then, disconnect/reconnect the phone using the multimedia System’s controls.
For iPhones running IOS 8 or later
 On the iPhone go to “Settings”.
 Select “Notifications” under “Settings”.
 Then choose “Messages”.
 Ensure that the either “Banners” or “Alerts” is selected and style is not set to “None”.
 Finally, verify that “Allow Notification” and “Show on Lock Screen” are enabled.
