Stop Sale/Recall: 2002-06 Multi-Model Airbag Inflator SALES UPDATE
On Monday, June 23, 2014, Acura announced three recalls for various 2002-06 Acura models. At this time, affected VINs
have not been determined. Due to this, the following models are subject to a recall and stop sale order in all regions of
the United States and US territories:
2002-03 CL
2003-06 MDX
2005 RL
2002-03 TL
Because both VIN information and parts availability are unclear, Acura is providing the following document to facilitate
sales of potentially affected units. Should a client request the purchase of a potentially affected vehicle, the client should
be advised of the situation, and the following disclosure agreement must be signed. This document must be filled out
completely, including client’s signature, for any vehicle within the model/year ranges listed above.

Once the document is filled out, please scan it and send it to [email protected]. Acura will collect these
documents for use with the client notification phase of these recall actions.
Once additional information regarding affected VINs is available, Acura will activate VIN status inquiry and update all
dealers via iN message and service bulletin.
