CONDITION SUMMARY:
SITUATION:
The 'Hood open' warning message may be displayed on the Instrument Cluster (IC) and/or the security
system status indicator gives an audible warning to indicate that the hood is not latched correctly when
the hood has been correctly latched.
CAUSE:
This may be caused by water ingress into the hood latch microswitch.
ACTION:
Should a customer express this concern, follow the Workshop Procedure below.

or later.
WORKSHOP PROCEDURE:

Replace the hood latch (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 501-14: Handles, Locks, Latches
and Entry Systems - Removal and installation - Hood Latch).
