Concern:
A Customer may report one or more of:
Lack of power
Restricted performance displayed on Instrument Cluster (IC)
Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) appears on Instrument Cluster
(IC).
One or more of the following DTC’s may also be logged within the
Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
P0100-38 - Mass or Volume Air Flow Sensor "A" Circuit signal
frequency incorrect
P0111-84 - Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit
Range/Performance Bank 1 signal below allowable range
P0113-00 - Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High Bank 1 no
sub type information
P2178-00 - System Too Rich Off Idle Bank 1 no sub type information
P0299-00 - Turbocharger/Supercharger "A" Underboost Condition no
sub type information
Cause:
The air intake elbow below the throttle body may be been incorrectly
fitted to the vehicle. This results in an air leak within the air intake
system.

Refer to attachment for details of correct and incorrect fitting of
the air intake elbow.
Check the intake elbow for correct fitment to the throttle body
using the JLR approved smoke tester Jaguar Land Rover high
pressure diagnostic leak detector (Part Number 95-0106).
Technicians - Please rate this SSM and provide comments so that
future communications can be improved.
1 = Poor – Basic information provided – The SSM does not help me
resolve the customer concern.
3 = Average – Adequate information provided – The SSM partially
helps me resolve the customer concern.
5 = Excellent – All required information provided to resolve the
customer concern.
