Campaign No. 2017080006, March 2018 TO: ALL MERCEDES-BENZ CENTERS SUBJECT: Models 205, 217, 222, and 253 Model Years 2014 - 2018 Update fuel system control unit (FSCU) software Daimler AG (‘DAG’), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain MY1418 205, 217, 222, and 253 platform vehicles (C-Class, S-Class, S-Class Coupe, GLC-Class) the fuel system control unit (FSCM) software does not correspond to current production specification. As a result, certain faults stored in the control unit might not be recognized and therefore would not activate the engine control lamp in the instrument cluster. An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will update the fuel system control unit software on the affected vehicles. Prior to performing this Service Campaign: • Please check VMI to determine if the vehicle is involved in the Campaign and if it has been previously repaired. • Please review the entire Service Campaign bulletin and follow the repair procedure exactly as described. Approximately 110,507 vehicles are affected.
