Content
Issue:
The customer reports reduced performance with P0191-85 observed
in the PCM. This may or may not also illuminate the MIL.
Cause:
The fuel rail pressure sensor is under investigation for this concern.
Action:
1. Investigate and resolve all fuel system DTCs which are or have
historically flagged in the PCM.
2. Replace fuel rail pressure sensor and hold so it can be returned
for analysis.
3. Clear codes and reset the PCM fueling adaption values.
4. Drive to the following cycle:
Minimum 8 hour vehicle off soak
Ignition on, wait ~3 seconds, start engine
Drive and ensure 5 ECO stops complete during cycle
Confirm if the fault is pending in PCM or not
If P0191-85 does not return, release vehicle (raise an EPQR to report
the fuel rail pressure sensor replacement). If it does return during the
drive cycle or later, raise a TA.
